Live Longer, Live Well – What Needs to Change?
Living Long, Living Well. We want to know what needs to change?
Join TILII!
Have you got something to say?
Do you want to meet new people? Share your ideas? Learn new skills? And help make things better for people with a learning disability, autism and other support needs?
Then TILII could be for you!
We are a group of people with a learning disability, autism and other support needs who come together to have our say and make a difference.
We are involved in lots of different projects and activities.
We don’t just talk about change – we help make it happen.
One of the things we do is help deliver training to professionals.
Every year, TILII members help deliver training for social workers at Ulster University, the Law Society’s Vulnerable Practitioner Course, and Learning Disability Induction Training for Belfast Trust staff and ARC NI members.

At TILII, we:
This gives us the chance to build confidence, learn new skills and make a real difference.
We are not just being listened to – we are helping to teach others.
We also run TILII Translates, our Easy Read service.
TILII members help make information clear, accessible and easy to understand for people with a learning disability.
We work with organisations and professionals to review information and make sure it works for the people who will use it.
We believe information should not just be made for us – it should be made with us. So that’s why TILII use their own experiences to help make information better and more accessible.
You don’t have to be an expert to be a TILII member, and you don’t need to know everything. You don’t even need to feel confident speaking in front of a group. You can take things at your own pace and share your views in a way that feels comfortable for you.
You just need to bring your own ideas, experiences and opinions. Because everyone has something important to say.
TILII isn’t just about meetings and projects. We also get to meet new people, make friends, try new things and celebrate what we have achieved.
Sometimes we are working hard on an important projects or making a film for ARC NI’s YouTube channel. Other times we are answering consultations or taking part in research. And sometimes we just enjoy spending time together, having a coffee, a bun and a chat!
TILII is about making a difference, but also having fun, making friends, and celebrating what we achieve together.
If you are a person with a learning disability, autism or other support needs and you would like to have your say, we would love to hear from you.
You could help us make change, share your ideas, learn new skills and make sure people with a learning disability are listened to.
