ARC NI sits on the Department of Health’s Fair Work Forum which produced a report on steps required to enable the social care sector becoming a Real Living Wage Employer (RLW). In February 2026, the Minister of Health reaffirmed his commitment to fund the independent sector adult social care staff who provide direct care through commissioned services, in order to deliver the RLW for these staff.
