James is responsible for making sure ARC Scotland delivers ARC’s vision, mission and aims.
James has been with ARC since 2008. He has a long experience in establishing and leading services and support for people with a learning disability, autistic people and those with other additional support needs. This includes running supported employment services, social enterprises and community-based day support. Much of his career has involved leading programmes to establish new person-centred and inclusive models of support, sometimes by leading change that challenges old ways of working.
James is a fully qualified counsellor and hold a post graduate certificate in social services leadership. He is currently engaged by the Economic and Social Research Council as a Grant Assessment Panel member.
