Linking with funders to improve the quality of life and independent living for people with a learning disability
This network brings together representatives from the Supporting People funding programme and providers in receipt of a grant. The NI Housing Executive administer the Programme on behalf of the Department for Communities.
Objective 3 within the Supporting People Three Year Strategic Plan states:
To work with Supporting People providers to invest in service innovation, to achieve greater value for money and better outcomes for service users.
This meeting helps funders to understand more about the needs of people with a learning disability.
It aims to
· build relationships through shared understanding
· facilitate the sharing of examples of good practice
· and find good solutions to achieve better outcomes.
