Bringing together Leaders Responsible for Day Opportunities and Supported Employment
This network connects leaders of Day Opportunity & Supported Employment organisations and senior managers responsible for operational delivery. With the renewed energy currently in place for cross-departmental reform, this meeting was re-established in 2025 in recognition of the opportunity to support the required reform to Education, the Economy and the revised Learning Disability Model for young people transitioning from school into adult services, and their right to a meaningful day.
The network will also act as a vehicle for liaising with policy makers and other key colleagues in commissioning and regulation, for the purpose of:
Offering support, knowledge and expertise
Identifying key challenges in implementation; and
Advocating for necessary changes in the policy to make the vision possible.
