This course is aimed at managers and will consider the performance review cycle, including the skills required to plan and carry out meaningful supervision, drive performance and undertake annual reviews/appraisals. The course content will be delivered in line with the new NISCC Care in Practice framework and the RQIA standards regarding staff supervision and appraisal. 

By the end of the course learners will:

• appreciate the different types of staff supervision and benefits of supervision
• comprehend how to conduct supervision with their staff and how to overcome supervision challenges
• recognise the relationship between supervision and the appraisal process
• understand how to creäte learning and development plans for staff
• realise the importance of an effective Induction and enacted values in the social care workforce.
