This training course is designed for those new to first line management, or those without previous training in managing people at work. It supports NISCC’s Manager’s Induction Programme and their Care in Practice framework for social care managers and leaders.
By the end of the course learners will:
- comprehend the difference between leadership and management, understanding their distinct roles and how they complement one another
- communicate effectively by applying clear verbal and non-verbal techniques to enhance understanding and collaboration
- recognise how to delegate tasks and lead teams in a supportive manner, fostering motivation and effective teamwork
- appreciate innovation and change by developing entrepreneurial skills and managing change within health and social care settings.
